Oktoberfest meets the 1920s for EWU Library Fundraiser | Events
Dust off your zoot suits and flapper dresses, the roaring '20s are taking over the JFK Library at Eastern Washington University for Oktoberfest. The annual fundraiser will bring back the glitz and glam of the prohibition era for a night of entertainment and auction.
The annual Oktoberfest event and auction raises funds for EWU's Libraries Collections Endowment Fund. The money will be used to purchase library materials including books, journals and electronic resources. The evening will have both a live and silent auction with items ranging from gift cards to vacations.
In keeping with the 1920s theme, EWU's Dinning and Catering Services will prepare an era-specific dinner, and Marsell's Cakes and Desserts will serve a Pineapple Upside-Down Cake for dessert. Libations will be flowing like a speak-easy with beverages from Latah Creek Winery, Walla Walla Vintners, No-Li Brewhouse and River City Red.
