Albertsons provides military families a grocery discount | Families
In an effort to help out local military families impacted by the government shutdown, Albertsons stores across Washington and Idaho will be offering military families a discount on their grocery bills.
On Monday and Tuesday, October 7th and 8th, Albertsons will host Military Discount Days. Families that present a valid military identification will receive a 10 percent discount on the grocery bill.
“We’re fully aware of the challenges that our military families face as a result of the budget impasse,” emphasized Dennis Bassler, president of Albertsons Northwest Division. “This is our way of supporting and thanking them for the sacrifices they and their families make every day in serving our country.”
The discount does not apply to prescriptions, alcohol, tobacco, fluid dairy, money orders, postage stamps, lottery tickets, wire transfer services, gift cards, bill pay services or items prohibited by law.
